Akemi Yagi has been in the cosmetic industry for over 20 years.  Born in Japan she relocated to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue her dream of becoming a professional make-up artist.

 A graduate from the Joe Blasco make-up school, Akemi went on         to work closely with one of top make-up artist gaining valuable on-set experience.

 Akemi assisted on the Grammy Awards show and music videos for Janet Jackson’s “Son of a Gun,” Aerosmith’s “Jaded,”and make up for Ricky Martin, Madonna and more.

 

Akemi has a special skills set which enables her to do incredibly         detailed work. She is an expert in creating an eyebrow shape to suit her clients' face using a specific method of measurement and placement.

 As well as her make-up career Akemi is a licensed esthetician and 

 enjoys the balance between being in a creative environment on-set and the contrast of a relaxing spa, focusing on anti-aging       treatments.
